BAKER

We are looking for bakers!

CHIBOO Bakery is looking to grow our team in Herndon, VA. We are a small but agile team, providing thousands of handcrafted gourmet French macarons each month for our small retail shop, catering orders and pop-up events around the DMV. We pride ourselves in using premium ingredients, making unique flavors as well as practice zero-waste in all that we do.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years’ experience in baking (hobby/professional)
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
• Knowledge and understanding of piping techniques and working with meringue*
• Be able to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Create and follow standardized recipes accurately
• Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures and disinfecting kitchen area

This is a part-time position with flexible shifts on Tues/Wed/Thurs from 10AM to 430PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. (Minimum two shifts per week required).

Professional kitchen experience preferred but not necessary. Pay is $16-20 per hour depending on candidate’s qualification.

Overtime eligible during busy seasons in Fall and the Holidays.
